Boy or Girl?
I am so anxious to find out what we are having! I seriously don't know how couples go 9 months without finding out. Kudos to them! I am so impatient!!!!!!! I keep going back and forth between wanting a girl and wanting a boy. After holding two precious twin baby girls all afternoon this past sunday I really thought a girl might be a good fit for our family! But on the other hand, I know that another boy would probably be ALOT easier! We already know what to expect with having a boy (and lets get real- boys are typically WAY easier as babies than girls are!). Jackson was an angel baby. He was really the perfect child, so I am praying that baby #2 is just as good! Another plus to having a boy is that I already have EVERYTHING for a baby boy. My brother and sister in law have a 1 year old, and they have saved every outfit, bedding and everything else, so that would be so EASY! I guess, in the end, all that really matters is that we have a HEALTHY and HAPPY baby. That's all that I really care about in the end! I only have about 10 or 11 more weeks to wait until I will find out- so I guess I can be patient until then!
Feeling better
Whew! I think I have overcome the first "hurdle" of pregnancy. I have been feeling A LOT better lately. I went to the doctor last week and she gave me some medicine for nausea- and ever since I got the prescription filled- I haven't had to use it! I only start to feel bad when I am hungry (which is ALL OF THE TIME!) haha. But as soon as I get something in my tummy, the sickness goes away! Thank goodness! At least I have medicine now in case the morning sickness rears its ugly head again.
Here are some highlights of how the baby is growing this week. I am CONSTANTLY checking this because I think it is so neat to see all of the things that are happening with the baby!
Your Baby in Week 10 of Pregnancy
Your baby (now the size of a prune) has small indentations on his legs (soon to be knees and ankles!), and his tiny arms even have elbows that bend (how is that for magical?). Inside that little mouth, tiny buds of baby teeth are forming under the gums. His stomach and kidneys are kicking into gear, producing digestive juices and urine, and if it's a boy, his testes are making testosterone (how manly!).I get these stats from "whattoexpect.com". They are pretty detailed about everything on there :)

Bebe!!!!!!
Woohoo! Our first picture of my little bun in the oven! How exciting! I went to the doctor first thing this morning (and stayed there for what seemed like FOREVER!). We went in for the ultrasound first and when I got that first glimpse of my tiny little raspberry (yes, that is about the size of the baby right now) I was so excited! I cannot explain the feeling that you get when you get to see your bun in the oven for the first time. It really makes it "official", if that makes any sense! The heartbeat was 160 and according to all of the measurements I am 8 weeks 5 days along! How exciting! They gave me a due date of October 6 (we will have a little LIBRA!) haha.
After the ultrasound I met with my doctor and she gave me the run down.. you know.. what I can/cannot eat/drink... she asked me how I was feeling and I told her that I have been EXTREMELY nauseous, so she gave me a prescription for Zofran to help with the nausea. All I can say is THANK THE LORD! I mean, really. This MIGHT have come close to making me as happy as seeing the baby. I have been so incredibly sick lately and haven't been able to eat much, so I am PRAYING that the Zofran helps! I have my next appointment in 4 weeks, so lets pray everything goes well in between now and then! God really is amazing to bless us with this tiny little gift. I could not be happier!
